A long break

I am writing a book. Yes, you heard me, a book. I plan on getting it published and all, and let me tell you, I have never worked so hard on something. Though I usually would not leave the Fanbase for this, it is the fact of what I am writing about. Here's a quick summary:

We all watch or read the news at some point in our life time. Most of the time we only bother with the front page stories, which at numerous time will involve a minor (Under 18) being arrested and charged with a crime. Sometimes we'll follow the story as it progresses, and eventually learn that minor's fate. On more than one occasion it will say something similar to: "...was sentenced to # of years/months in a NAME Detention Center. (S)he will be transported to NAME detention center on DATE..." The story ends there, and we hear no more of it.

But what happens to that kid who sentenced to Juvenile Detention? What is their life like? What does it look like in there - is it like an adult prison? [CaGeD] (Pending name) will follow the life of a convicted (starting from the arrest) Juvenile Delinquent. Follow Vyran, our juvenile, as she undertakes a life changing journey.


The research required to finish this is heartbreaking, and makes my stomach churn. It's changing me, and I need to - for a bit, anyways - move onto more serious-focused things. I will still be accepting hosting requests!

Hosting

I get a lot of questions concerning my hosting. So, I thought I'd stuff all those questions into one information package. You can find that package below.

What you get

Three mySQL Databases with PHPMyAdmin to use for the more advanced aspects of your site. Though, if needed, more will be given to you upon request; three is just a default number.
PHP 4/5, mySQL, Perl, Ruby on Rails, Python, SSI, SSH, among others. These are the languages you can use to code your site. I doubt you will need half of them, but it's best to be informed.
More Bandwidth and Diskspace then you'll ever need. Unless I end up hosting all serebii.net sized sites, you should run into no problem with limiting your site's growth.
One 'hoohsfire.net' e-mail. You'll get an e-mail to use for your site. An example would be yourname@hoohsfire.net
Quick Installs. These include MediaWiki, Joomla!, WordPress, and Netfirms PitcurePro.

The Requirements

You like what you see? Well, I'm glad! Now all you need to do is make sure your site fits these very simple requirements!

  1. A decent amount of content. You don't need a lot, just enough to show me that you are dedicated to your site.
  2. Make sure it's all G rated. I mean, if a five year old can't see it, a fansite owner (me) shouldn't be saying I host it. =/
  3. No stolen content. Very simple requirement to make, I hope.
  4. It can be a fansite, fanlisting, club dedicated to a certain Pokemon, or whatever. As long as it's Pokemon related, I'll host it.*

    5. *I will host non-Pokemon sites, just not under this domain. Contact me for more info.
